About us!

Hi! Welcome to Made During Naptime!

I am so excited to finally launch my website as of January 2021! I have been a maker and seller on Etsy since 2014. I started out by making leather baby moccasins and leather braided pacifier clips. Getting into the art of sewing was a feat of its own. I replaced my sewing machine within the first few months of using it. I was a sewing maniac! It was something I easily fell in love with.

I grew up as an only child, which led me to entertaining myself with many hobbies! I learned to crochet at a young age and sold crochet headbands throughout high school. I dabbled in baking and cake decorating and thought for sure I was going to be a pastry chef one day. I ended up going to cosmetology school instead and became a licensed professional in all things beauty. I love making things and people beautiful!

I became a mom during my career and decided to stay home with my babies while my husband worked. Of course I could not keep my hands off a project for long. I dove back into sewing and found myself making rings out of old spoons as well. It brings me much joy to see something so worn down become beautiful again. I was inspired to then work with polymer clay and it is such a stress relief and outlet for me to work with it. I am in constant awe of the world around us. Art is everywhere. Everyone has creativity inside of them. Humans are amazing beings who have created great things for centuries. I hope you find your craft someday and truly enjoy it!
